Yesterday we got the first look at the BlackBerry Q10 in white, but our images unfortunately didn't do it justice. Luckily, Omar dropped us another image that looks much better. The more I see the BlackBerry Q10, the more I want to pick one up. I'm loving my Z10 right now, but I could definitely go for that keyboard. If you didn't yet, be sure you check out our first and second hands-on with the BlackBerry Q10. Still no solid release date for this guy but we do know it can't come soon enough!
    Announced alongside the flagship BlackBerry Z10 and the new BlackBerry 10 OS, the QWERTY keyboard-toting BlackBerry Q10 was officially unveiled for the first time.     While the Z10 - which is set to go head to head with the likes of the iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S3 and Nokia Lumia 920 - has ditched the physical keyboard that BlackBerry is known for, the Q10 keeps the trusty QWERTY in place.     BlackBerry may have upadted its image, but ditching the RIM name and moving to touchscreen typing, but there are still plenty of people who favour a classic keyboard.
    We managed to hunt down one of the few preview samples at BlackBerry's launch event for a closer look.

BlackBerry Q10: Size & build

    The back cover - designed exlucsively for this product - features a textured finish and the casing is lighter, thinner and stronger than plastic covers, says BlackBerry.Once we finally got our mitts on it, It felt comfy to hold and light enough to cart around all day.
The Q10 will come in both black and white.

Blackberry Q10: Features

    BlackBerry wasn't forthcoming with a list of specs, but we do know that the Q10 has the same processor as the Z10 (a 1.5GHz dual-core processor), along with an 8MP camera on the back and 2MP front-facing snapper.

BlackBerry Q10: Screen

    BlackBerry has ditched the call buttons and the central scroll pad to make rooom for a larger, square screen. The capacative touchscreen measures 3 inches with a 720 x 720 pixel resolution. The Super AMOLED screen takes up nearly as much room as the keyboard itself and looks bright and clear, even under the dingy lighting at BB's launch event.

Blackberry Q10: Keyboard

The BlackBerry X10 retains the tell-tale QWERTY keyboard which is, after all, the main reason that many people prefer BlackBerrys over other smartphones.
    At the launch, BlackBerry described as the keyboard "The absolute best typing experience in the industry". We had a quick go with the keyboard and it's certainly comfy and responsive to use so we can't see QWERTY keyboard fans being disappointed.

Blackberry Q10: Verdict

    While BlackBerry may be trying to branch out with the Z10 it really couldn't launch a new flagship handset without making sure there was a keyboard-packing alternative available for its loyal physical button fans. The Q10 certainly look like a good upgrade for existing BB fans - stay tuned for a full review.
